"Hello there!"
Hey, My name is Max. In May 2024, I will be graduating with my BFA in Musical Theatre and a Minor in Dance, and I plan on moving to New York later this year.
I was born and raised in Plano, Texas where I spent the majority of my time playing competitive travel hockey. (I know right?! Who would have thought there was hockey in Texas?) I was introduced to theatre at a summer camp when I was 7, but had to stop since I had practice every other day and was traveling across the country almost 3 times a month for hockey tournaments.
In middle school I joined choir and stuck with it all throughout high school and would drink the theatre kid kool-aid my sophomore year of high school. Not only did I become heavily involved in the fine arts I was also a Boy Scout and managed to play on my high schools Varsity hockey team for 4 years. To be honest I don’t know how i managed to find time to do my homework.
Since then I have been able to work profesionally with various theatres in the DFW area: CASA MANANA, THE WATERING HOLE COLLECTIVE, and with MUSICAL WRITERS, where I was fortunate enough to be the first person to perform an orignal piece by Drew Gasparini for his up-and-coming Broadway show The Karate Kid. As I’ve learned more about myself and my artistic process, I’ve realized that my goal as a artist is to help audiences experience theatre that inspires them to be a product of change. Open minds lead to open hearts.
While performing is my first love, I also spend my time making indie-pop music, where I write and record original music with the help of my friends. (My music is streamable on Apple and Spotify Music.) I also enjoy spending my free time learning new instruments (Guitar, Piano, Bass, Ukulele), watching hockey (Go Stars!), weightlifting, perfecting my Hip Hop persona “Bubbles,” and rewatching Star Wars.
